Raja Seat, Omkereshwar Temple, Madikeri Fort, Abbi Falls, Talacauvery
Raja's Seat is an elevated spot overlooking vast greenery. This spot was frequented by the royalty with a view to enjoy the scenic beauty of the valleys.
The temple was built by Linga Rajendra II as a dedication to Lord Shiva in 1820. The temple is in the Indo-Saracenic style, combining typically Keralite tiled roofs with domes and a water tank in this temple houses much freshwater fish and adds to the beauty of this temple. Temple is about 1km from the Madikeri bus stand.
Madikeri Fort also called Mercara Fort is a fort in Madikeri, in the Kodagu district. First built by Mudduraja in the second half of the 17th century. Mudduraja also built the palace within the fort. It was rebuilt and restructured in granite by Tipu Sultan, and the site was then renamed Jaffarabad. Madikeri Fort is one of the many forts built or rebuilt by Tipu Sultan during his reign in the second half of the 18th century. In 1790, Dodda Vira Rajendra took control of the fort. The British made additions to the fort in 1834. The palace underwent renovations by Linga Rajendra II from 1812-1814. Notable structures in the fort include two stone statues of elephants at the northeast entry and a church in the southeast corner.
Today, the Madikeri Deputy Commissioner's Office is housed in the palace building, while St. Mark's Church houses the Madikeri Fort Museum, managed by the Karnataka State Archaeological Department. The museum has exhibits that display artefacts and weaponry from the time between the fort's construction and British rule. The museum also has a large portrait of Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa. The church was constructed in 1859 by soldiers of the East India Company, with funding from the Madras Presidency. The church was administered by the Madras Diocese of the Church of England, but was closed after Indian independence, and taken over by the Government of Karnataka in 1971.
Abbey Falls is a waterfall in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, It is located 8 km from the Madikeri. If you want to see it in its full form, it is preferable that you visit during the monsoon (July to October. However, the rain makes the road down to the falls slippery and a bit unsafe.
Located in the Brahmagiri hill which is at a distance of 8 km from Bhagamandala and 48 km from Madikeri, Talakaveri/Talacauvery is one of the popular tourist spots in Coorg. It holds high religious importance as well and thus attracts hordes of religious tourists.
Talakaveri is said to be the source of River Cauvery. Although the source that is the flow of water is not always visible. During the rainy season, one can get a glimpse of the same. River Cauvery is one of the seven sacred rivers of Sapta Sindhus belonging to the Hindu scriptures.
At a height of 1276 m above sea level, it has a small temple as well that is visited often by pilgrims. The temple here has been recently renovated by the state government.
There is a small spring called a tirtha kundike or Brahma kundike. It is believed that the river originates from this spring. This spring apparently flows underground and emerges after a short distance. Near the kundike, there is a shrine. In front of the shrine, a huge tank has been built where pilgrims take baths and offer prayers.
The day has been kept free to explore this beautiful town on your own.

Chamundi Hills
Mysore (or Mysuru), a city in India's southwestern Karnataka state, was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1947. In its centre is opulent Mysore Palace, the seat of the former ruling Wodeyar dynasty. The palace blends Hindu, Gothic and Rajput styles. Mysore is also home to the centuries-old Devaraja Market, filled with spices, silk and sandalwood.
The Brindavan Gardens is a garden located in the Mandya District of the Indian State of Karnataka. It lies adjoining the Krishnarajasagara dam which is built across the river Kaveri. The work on laying out this garden was started in the year 1927 and completed in 1932.
Chamundi Hills is located 13 km east of Mysore, the Palace City, in Karnataka, India. Its average elevation is 1,000 metres. Named after goddess Chamundi, the Chamundeshwari Temple sits atop the main hill. The main hill itself features an ancient stone stairway of 1,008 steps leading to its summit. Approximately halfway to the summit is a statue of bull Nandi, the vahana, or "vehicle" of Lord Shiva, which is 4.9m tall and 7.6m long and carved out of a single piece of black granite. Around this point, the steps become significantly less steep and eventually the climber is rewarded with a panoramic view of the city.
