Overview: Lachen – Lachung is a beautiful small hamlet situated at a high altitude. Lachen means “Big Pass” while Lachung is "Small Pass". One of the highest lakes in the world is in Lachen, it enjoys a stunning setting, with perennial snow peaks all around.

Day 05: Proceed from Lachen – Chopta valley - Gurudongmar Lake - Lachen (180 kms/08 hours)

After Early breakfast proceed to Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 Ft.) en-route visit Thangu Valley (12,795 Ft.) and Chopta valley (13,200 Ft.). Gurudongmar Lake is the second-highest lake in World and it will take approx 3-4 hours to drive from Lachen (One way). The Lake generally is covered with snow from December to April or even more and is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake. Drive to Lachung (8,738 Ft.).
Later return back to the hotel for baggage & and leave for Lachung.

Overview: Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It's divided by the Lachung River. The village is home to the 19th century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, surrounded by apple orchards. Nearby, the Yumthang Valley's Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary protects many species of rhododendron. The valley is also known for its waterfalls, pine forests and hot springs.
